About Us - With James Crowder

What is Community Real Estate all about?

Community Real Estate is a new and exciting concept in the real estate industry. Our aim is to benefit the local community by donating a percentage of our agreed fees to the Vendors local charity or registered group.

Why Community Real Estate?

The business is designed and built on relationships with the local community and it is our aim to have as many other businesses see the benefit of giving a little bit back to make our community a stronger and better place to live.

I am passionate about the community and have always had a driving ambition to give back in some way and this idea gives me the satisfaction and enjoyment that I have been looking for, for many years.

How does Community Real Estate work?

Community Real Estate relies on local groups supporting their local community agency and in turn we then donate a percentage or our agreed fee back into the community. It is a win win for everybody and a fantastic feeling for us when we visit the secretaries of these organisations and hand over a cheque as a donation which they were not expecting. The club benefits the Vendor feels good and we get enormous satisfaction out of simply giving back.

What’s your background?

I have been in the real estate industry for over 26 years. I started from the bottom and was educated by my late father and grandfather. My first job was as a maintenance man then office boy until I moved into sales where I enjoyed a long and very rewarding career managing the sales department of Crowders Real Estate for over 20 years. I am a fully qualified estate agent and auctioneer and participate heavily in the local community also playing for many years with the Frankston Dolphins VFA side. After being involved in a family business that was established in 1952 it was always a dream to set up my own business which recently has become a reality. Having three children all being schooled locally and all participating in local sporting activities it made sense to set up a community based real estate agency which I hope will become a recognised name in not only this area but other associated areas.
